High Brow Beauty and Brow Academy is proudly partnered with the Academy of Cosmetic Tattoo Australia (RTO 45265), to deliver the latest nationally accredited training – SHB50321 Diploma of Cosmetic Tattooing (via distance and face to face, blended mode).

The introduction of the Diploma is an exciting move forward for our industry, and students who choose to complete this nationally accredited and recognised training, will set themselves up with advanced and comprehensive knowledge and skills in cosmetic tattooing.

Whether you are a beginner, developing cosmetic tattoo artist or an experienced cosmetic tattoo artist, this course will set a new level of learning for you – we offer both the Full Course and Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) options.

Techniques Learnt

Cosmetic Tattoo techniques for:

  • Powdery Ombre Brows (Latest and most popular technique! Microblading is outdated and damaging!)

  • Nano Hairstrokes (including Combination Brows)

  • Full Lip Blush & Candy Lips

  • Corrections

  • Touch-ups

Course Length, Delivery Mode and Location

12 months

Academy is located at 108a Henson Road, Salisbury, Brisbane.

The full course is a combination of online (theory) and face to face (practical) learning:

  • 8 hours per week (distance, at home) independent learning, research, study, assignment and project work; and
  • 8 hours per week (distance, at home or on site at High Brow Beauty and Brow Academy) online practical guided learning activities – trainer directed; and
  • 1.5 hours per week Zoom meeting with instructor/trainer for troubleshooting and assistance; and
  • 1 day a week (40 days total) of work placement/experience (this can be done in isolated blocks or one large block); and
  • 25 days throughout the year, including 2 x 4-7 day blocks, for guided learning, practical demonstration and supervised procedure work (live models) at High Brow Beauty and Brow Academy

The RPL option can be completed in distance mode or combination mode (enquire with us about this option) – this option is suitable for current Cosmetic Tattoo Artists.

Plus a one (1) Business Elective:

  • BSBESB401 Research and Develop Business Plans; or
  • BSBESB404 Market New Ventures; or
  • BSBESB406 Establish Operational Strategies and Procedures for New Business Ventures.

Or specialise in one Cosmetic Tattoo area and obtain a Skill Set (complete 4 Core units, the Elective Infection Control unit and one Elective Cosmetic Tattooing unit).

Requirements

22 models (student to supply or our Academy can assist) – models will pay $99 to the Academy for their chosen cosmetic tattoo and touch-up sessions

Potential Earnings

If you undertake four cosmetic tattoos per week, you can earn (prior to tax) between $1000-$2000 per week depending upon what you charge.

Payment Options

A non-refundable deposit of $1500 is required to confirm the course booking, with a further $1420 payable 4 weeks later (to make up the 20% deposit). The balance can be paid outright at course commencement, as arranged with the Academy. Alternatively, finance can be arranged.

Our Academy currently enrols 5 students per Semester. Semesters commence in August and February. We can possibly still take students outside our two yearly intakes – please contact us to discuss.
