How does IPL work?
A fully trained therapist will apply a specially designed hand piece to your skin and generate an intense pulse of light which will be absorbed by targets in your skin. The light delivered from the hand piece is delivered at high intensity during a very short period of time. It is this rapid discharge of light that provides the high energy levels required for each IPL treatment to be effective!

How Many Sessions Will I Need?

What Should I Do Before and After Treatment?
Pre-Care (Before Your Appointment):
To ensure safe and effective results:
Avoid sun exposure & tanning: No sunbathing, solariums, or fake tanning for at least 2 weeks prior.
No waxing, plucking, or threading: These remove the hair follicle. Only shaving is allowed (avoid waxing or plucking).
Shave the area: Shave the treatment area 24 hours before your session so the light targets the follicle under the skin.
Avoid harsh skincare: Stop using retinol, glycolic acid, AHA/BHA peels, or prescription acne/skin medications on the area for at least 1 week.
Skip deodorant/lotions: On the day of treatment, keep the area clean and free of creams, perfumes, or deodorants.
Aftercare (Post-Treatment):
To protect your skin and encourage healing:
Redness & warmth is normal: The skin may feel sunburnt for a few hours. A cool compress or aloe vera gel can soothe it.
Avoid heat & friction: No hot showers, saunas, hot baths, spas, or vigorous exercise for 24–48 hours.
No sun exposure: Treated areas are sensitive. Apply broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily and avoid direct sun for at least 2 weeks.
Skip harsh products: Avoid active skincare (retinol, acids, scrubs, peels) on the treated area for 5–7 days.
Do not wax or pluck: Only shave if hair regrows. The follicle needs to remain intact for future sessions.
Let shedding occur naturally: Over 1–3 weeks, treated hairs will fall out. Don’t force them.
Apply soothing creams or aloe vera as recommended
